Henry B. Plant Museum – Downtown Tampa

A National Historic Landmark, The Henry B. Plant Museum is housed in the former Tampa Bay Hotel, Tampa’s elegant Victorian railroad resort. Crammed with original furnishings enjoyed by the first guests to the hotel in 1891, enjoy the Moorish architecture and tropical gardens with the aid of an audio guide or docent-led tour.

Tampa Museum of Art – Downtown Tampa

Tampa Museum of ArtAlong with an ever-growing collection of contemporary and classical art, The Tampa Museum of Art at Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Park plays host to world-class travelling exhibitions, as well as a colorful program of events.

Florida Museum of Photographic Arts – Downtown Tampa

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts collects, preserves, and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists.

Tampa Firefighters Museum – Downtown Tampa

Built in 1911, this building served as headquarters for the Tampa Fire Department until 1974, presiding over the 63-year transformation from horse-drawn apparatus to diesel-powered rescue and firefighting vehicles. You’ll see a number of exhibits during your visit including historical fire trucks and firefighting equipment.

Tampa Police Museum – Downtown Tampa

The Tampa Police Museum honors officers killed in the line of duty, as well as preserving historically important records, books and police equipment.

American Victory Ship Mariners Museum – Channelside

American Victory Ship TampaOne of only four fully-operational WWII ships in the country, climbing aboard the American Victory Ship permits visitors access to cavernous three-level cargo holds, radio rooms, a hospital, mess halls, crew cabins, lifeboats, the captain’s quarters, and more.

Tampa Bay History Center – Channelside

Covering 12,000 years of Florida history across three floors, experience the stories of Seminole Indians, Cuban cigar rollers, and Teddy Roosevelt’s Rough Riders through hands-on exhibits and interactive experiences.

Ybor City Museum State Park – Ybor City

Explore the rich cultural heritage of Ybor City, one of only two National Historic Landmark Districts in Florida. Located in the 1923-era Ferlita Bakery, explore the museum’s lush Mediterranean-style garden and the “casita,” representative of a typical cigar-worker’s family home while learning more about the role Ybor City played in Tampa’s development and its reputation as the “Cigar Capital of the World”.
