We’ve hidden one, unique unicorn SHINE bike – named a “Bright Spot” on the official SHINE Mural Festival map – amongst our St. Petersburg fleet for users to find and ride. Designed by Ricky Watts, one-time leader of the Northern California graffiti scene turned designer, illustrator and muralist for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Mercedes Benz, Google, and YouTube, the bike features Ricky’s signature style of colorful, fluid waves.
For a limited time, spot the bike in the wild, and share photos with @CoastBikes and @RickyWatts on Twitter and Instagram using the #SHINEBike hashtag.
Jenee Priebe, SHINE Mural Festival Coordinator, said: “As the highest rated city for bicyclists in the state of Florida and home to an ever-growing collection of vibrant outdoor art, St. Petersburg’s SHINE Mural Festival encourages exploring the streets on two wheels to get the best view of our large-scale art pieces. SHINE is excited to partner with Coast Bike Share and promote local bike tours as an excellent means of engaging with St. Pete’s street art.”
Want to get in one the SHINE bike fun? Join our official SHINE Mural Festival bike tours on October 6 and 13. Limited tickets available from tour partner Florida CraftArt. You can check the event out on Facebook, too.
