We’ve already talked about the benefits of exercising outdoors, but biking isn’t your only option. Here are five outdoor fitness classes to explore in Tampa and St. Pete. Even better: Each is easily accessible by bike, so you can put some pedal power behind your workout, too.
FREE. Every Sunday, 6-7pm, Curtis Hixon Park, Tampa.
Operating since 2010, Yoga in the Park is led by an instructor from Yoga Downtown Tampa. Every Sunday, attendees fill the terraces of Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for a relaxing waterfront yoga class. The perfect way to round off your weekend.
FREE. Every Tuesday, 6-7pm, Curtis Hixon Park, Tampa.
Inspired by Latin American dance moves, shake off the work day stress with a high-energy Zumba class, also held on the terraces of Curtis Hixon Park.
Various times and packages available, North Shore Park, St. Pete.
Watch the sunrise over St. Pete as you take part in high intensity bootcamp workouts at North Shore Park. Each class combines exercises such as tire flips, sprints, resistance-band workouts, and push-ups in order to engage multiple muscles at a time, helping to burn more calories.
