JAN 15 – MLK “Dream Big” Parade and Family Fun Day in St. Pete
Celebrate the holiday with marching bands from across the country, floats, civic organizations and plenty of music at the parade, which begins at 11am. After, enjoy a Family Fun Day at Tropicana Field featuring a kids zone and entertainment from 2:30-8pm.

The longest running all-star college football game, combining great football with a great cause. A showcase for the next generation of NFL greats in aid of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

JAN 20 – Tweed Ride in St. Pete
The most fashionable event on two wheels, hosted by the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club. Don your finest tweed and enjoy tea, scones and croquet from 2pm ahead of a leisurely group bike ride through downtown St Petersburg at 4pm. Food trucks and Cycle Brewing will be onsite for the post-ride after party, where you can shuffle and jive to live music.

JAN 27 – Gasparilla Pirate Parade and Festival in Tampa
Named for pirate Jose Gaspar, who terrorized the coastal waters of West Florida during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Tampa’s annual Gasparilla celebration begins with the Gasparilla Invasion. Over 750 swashbucklers invade Tampa Bay aboard the majestic pirate ship “Jose Gasparilla,” docking at the Tampa Convention Center at 1pm. To celebrate their capture of the city, the Captain and his Krewe share their wealth – glittering beads, treasures and doubloons – with a lively, enthusiastic crowd along the parade route, which begins at Bay to Bay Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard and ends at Cass Street and Ashley Drive.

JAN 28 – Bicycles and Buildings Tour with St. Petersburg Preservation in St. Pete
A fun, leisurely ride with numerous stops taking a closer look at the ‘Burg’s unique historic buildings and neighborhoods. The tour will start downtown with a focus on some of the city’s preservation success stories – businesses reusing historic buildings – before continuing south along the waterfront into the Old Southeast and Driftwood neighborhoods. Post-ride treats provided by The Independent.
